(ROYAL OAK, MI) The Center for Relationship and Sexual Health (CRSH), in partnership with Joe Kort, Ph.D., LMSW, will host an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for those struggling with alcohol, opioid, chemical abuse, and other associated behaviors.
Sessions will begin in January 2018 and will run continuously.
This new IOP is an abstinence and evidence–based six week program that will meet every Monday, Friday, and Saturday. It is an inclusive and safe space for all gender expressions and orientations, but also open to those who support LGBTQIA individuals. CRSH recognizes that those who identify as LGBTQIA are at a higher risk, given the specific hardships that often target them and their mental health.
“This is the first program of its kind in our area that truly puts an emphasis on creating a safe space for the LGBTQIA community. Our sessions will be welcoming, judgment free, and will support people where they are in their journey,” says Joe Kort, Ph.D., LMSW.
