Many of the therapists at CRSH are specially trained in the treatment of out of control sexual behavior (OCSB). In many circles, this is referred to as sexual addiction; however, the approach of CRSH staff is to treat OCSB as a sexual health problem in which consensual sexual urges, thoughts or behaviors feel out of control. As opposed to a clinical disorder, OCSB is framed as a behavioral problem within sexual expression wherein the individual’s life and relationships are negatively impacted by the behaviors.
In a safe, confidential and understanding environment, individuals seeking treatment for OCSB at CRSH will work with one of our therapists for an individualized assessment, treatment planning and counseling. The overall approach matches the individual’s and couples specific needs while respecting sexual diversity, individual rights, and working with the client to achieve sexual health.
Several modalities of treatment are available including individual, couples, group and workshops, based on the individual’s needs.
